The series will join other professional sports-based Amazon docuseries including All or Nothing: Manchester City, Six Dreams and Fernando, following double Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso. “The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in France, Italy and Spain, and in more than 150 countries and territories in 2022 including the UK and the USA.” “The new series will follow some of the biggest names in the sport, including MotoGP Legend Valentino Rossi (Petronas Yamaha SRT), eight-time World Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), newly crowned 2021 Champion Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), runner up Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo team), 2020 Champion Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team), as well as team managers and key figures within the paddock,” MotoGP said in a press release. In the same vein as the hugely successful Formula One Drive To Survive series on Netflix, the MotoGP equivalent, produced by The Mediapro Studio and in collaboration with MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna, will see eight 50-minute episodes focusing on the 2021 season and the behind-the-scenes stories that ensue.
The camera crews have been in the thick of it this year in the MotoGP pits ahead of MotoGP’s own docuseries in 2022. MotoGP will get its own docuseries on Amazon Prime Video in 2022.
